This position is classified and structured as an exempt outside-sales position under applicable California law. The position requires the employee to customarily and regularly perform outside-sales activities away from the Company's place of business.
⭐ POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct outside sales consultations with residential and commercial customers
- Meet prospective customers at their homes and businesses for scheduled sales appointments
- Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products
- Present products, options, and pricing
- Prepare sales proposals and agreements
- Develop and maintain prospective customer relationships
- Follow up on sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate sales documentation
- Develop new referral and business relationships
- Utilize Company-provided sales technology
- Represent Classic Improvement Products professionally in the field
This position requires regular travel throughout the assigned Southern California sales territory.
💰 COMPENSATION
- Commission-based compensation
- Additional sales incentives may be available
- Paid initial training
- Business mileage reimbursement for authorized business use of personal vehicle
- Applicable cell-phone and business-expense reimbursement
Specific commission terms and conditions are provided during the hiring process and are governed by the Company's written commission agreement.
🔍 QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Outside sales experience required
- In-home sales experience required
- Home-improvement or construction experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Self-motivated and organized
- Strong sales and follow-up skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Comfortable traveling throughout the assigned sales territory
- Comfortable utilizing computers, tablets, CRM, and sales technology
- Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under Company insurance requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Company will assist with and file the required CSLB paperwork to obtain your Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) registration.
