Exterior Shutters Maintenance

Aluminum, Composite, Fiberglass & Vinyl Shutters
- Remove all dirt and debris from Aluminum Shutters with a soft feather duster.
- After you have removed all the dirt and debris from the Aluminum Shutters, simply use a soft, damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning substance to wipe them down. Do not scrub the shutters.
- Do not spray the cleaning substance directly onto the shutters. Spray the cleaning substance into the soft, damp cloth and then wipe the shutters down.
Foam Shutters
- Remove all dirt and debris from Foam Shutters with a soft cloth.
- After you have removed all the dirt and debris from the Foam Shutters, simply use a soft, damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning substance to wipe them down. Do not scrub the shutters.
- Do not spray the cleaning substance directly onto the shutters. Spray the cleaning substance into the soft damp cloth and then wipe the shutters down.
- An annual paint job and/or stain will help prolong the life of Foam Shutters.
Wood Shutters
- Remove all dirt and debris from Wood Shutters with a soft cloth.
- Never immerse Wood Shutters in water. Make sure the water from your sprinklers is not coming in contact with your Wood Shutters. Warpage and expansion will occur when wood absorbs moisture
- An annual paint job and/or stain will help prolong the life of Wood Shutters.
