Clear View Motorized Power Screens |
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What is a Clear View Motorized Power Screen?
Motorized Power Screens are great for those wide openings where the Retractable Screen door just won’t work such as: Garage Doors, Patio Enclosures, Extra Large Sliders, or just to act as a Sun Shade. Power screens consist of a horizontal housing unit ran along the top, with vertical rails on the left and right, with the push of a button the screen drops down or retracts back up into the housing.
2. How difficult is it to install a motorized power screen?
The installation of a motorized power screen must be measured and installed by a certified, licensed, bonded and insured Classic Home Improvement Products, Inc. installer. The installation of a power screen typically takes 2 hours.
3. What size door, window and/or opening will this system accommodate?
To accommodate various width and height requirements, two series are available.
Series 3000 (3 ¾” housing) can span up to 12’ in width and 14’ in height. Series 4000 (4 ¾” housing) can span up to 23’ in width and 16’ in height. Both series use the same 2 ¼” rail system.
4. Are custom powder coated colors available for an additional charge?
Yes, we currently offer over 210 custom powder coated colors.
5. How are power screens mounted?
Power Screens can be surface mounted or mounted inside the jam on either exterior or interior applications. A self-contained 110-volt motor is factory installed on either the right or left of the unit.
6. What are my screen choice options?
Either series can be ordered using Twitchell 80% or 90% solar block fabric in black; gray; brown; desert Sand; white and beige. Standard white and black polyester screen and total privacy screen (ask CHI Products for color choices) meshes are available as well.
