1. What is a Manual Drop Screen?
Our Manual Drop Screens are great solar shades that help protect your interior furnishings and at the same time help lower expensive air conditioning cost. The Manual Drop Screens offer an unobstructed view and reduce the harmful effects of the sun's UV Rays by 47%- 100% depending on which screen mesh or fabric you choose

2. What types of openings will a Manual Drop Screen work on?
Common areas where our Manual Drop Screens are installed include Porches, Patios, Balconies, Gazebos, Doors and also Office and Bedroom Windows.

3. How are Manual Drop Screens mounted?
Manual Drop Screens can be surface mounted or mounted inside the jam on exterior and interior applications. They are held in place with brackets and generally guided down to the desired stopping point with a wire guide system. Sidetracks (instead of a wire guide system) can be used as well to help guide the screen to your desired setting. Manual Drop Screens can also be installed without a wire guide system or sidetracks.

4. What are my options for the Screen Mesh or Fabric?
The Manual Drop Screen can be ordered using Twitchell 80% or 90% Solar Block Polyester Screen in Black; Gray; Brown; Desert Sand; White or Beige. Standard 47% Twitchell Solar Block Screen in White or Black is also available. Total Privacy Screen and endless Fabrics are available as well.

6. How difficult is it to install a Manual Drop Screen?
The installation of a Manual Drop Screen must be measured and installed by a certified, licensed, bonded and insured Classic Home Improvement Products, Inc. installer.  The installation of a single unit typically takes 60 to 90 minutes.

7. What size opening can a Manual Drop Screen accommodate?
All Manual Drop Screens are custom built to 1/16 of an inch, for your home and your home only. The drop screen can be installed on any opening, measuring up to 168" in height and 228" in width.

8. Are custom powder coated colors available for an additional charge?
Yes, we currently offer over 210 custom powder coated colors.

9. Can I do my own installation?
Yes, but all openings must be measured by Classic Home Improvement Products, Inc. to guaranty a proper fit. Doing your own installation on the Manual Drop Screen will void the limited lifetime warranty.
