After several years of research and development Classic Home Improvement Products has successfully mastered the fine art of co-extrusion, combining PVC and an aluminum core. Today we are the only solid synthetic company that is vertically integrated, whereas we extrude, paint, fabricate, distribute and install our Polycore shutters. All of our rails, stiles, and louvers are reinforced with an aluminum core. In the fabrication process we screw the rail and stile together with two 3/16” X 3” self tapping screws in each corner of the panels. These corners prevent the panels from racking, thus creating the strongest panels in the industry today. The aluminum reinforced louvers prevent sagging in wider panels, where Polycore can reach 36” in width.
With our aluminum core technology, we are able to build a wider panel (up to 36 wide”), which offers more viewing area than any of our competitors. Polycore shutters are made from the highest grade of synthetic polymer materials; it will never bow or warp. It has a durable baked on paint finish (4 Colors Available) that is guaranteed not to fade, chip, or turn yellow, so they never need to be re-painted. They are fire retardant (State Certified) as well as moisture resistant. Polycore also offers a higher insulating value against heat and cold. If you are looking to save money from expensive air condition bills, you are on the right track. Polycore is unaffected by moisture. Install them next to the sea coast, in the bathroom, in the sauna, or even if you forget to close the windows in a rain storm --no worries. Our Lexwood Shutters are made from a premium basswood, built with traditional hand craftsmanship combined with the newest technology for a precision design and consistent quality control.
