Maintenance:

Fill Fountain
Optimum water level is one inch below the power-cord hole that resides inside the fountain's basin. On average 35% of the total water volume can evaporate daily from the fountain. Water should be at proper level and checked daily. The pump should never take-on air and should only be operated when it is completely submerged in water. If the pump continues to take-on air for long periods of time, it will become noisy and wear out prematurely.

Cleaning Fountain
The fountain should be cleaned and the water should be changed periodically. If dirt gets in the fountain, clean immediately. Dirt in the water will affect the operation of the fountain as well as the life of the pump. If the pump becomes clogged, noise will increase and performance will be affected.

Suggested Run Time
We suggest that you use an inexpensive timer for scheduled start and stop times. Be sure to follow timer's instructions and warnings before use.

Adding Chlorine and Antifoam
Chlorine should also be added to prevent algae build up. If foaming does occur an approved antifoaming agent should be used. These both can be purchased from your local home and garden or pool supply stores.
