Maintenance
The maintenance on our collection of Window Boxes, Flower Boxes, Planters and the Trellis is as follows:
Azek
This long lasting material will not rot, split or warp. It is easy to maintain, giving you a great look for years to come. Azek can be cleaned with a mild soap detergent, orange oil and/or a non abrasive cleaner. Always test a small section before cleaning the entire product for best results.
Fiberglass
These three-ply fiberglass shells won’t rot, stain, bleach, freeze, or become disjointed. Fiberglass can be cleaned with a mild soap detergent or non abrasive cleaner. Always test a small section before cleaning the entire product for best results. If you choose to paint the fiberglass shutters one of your very own personal favorite colors, you will have the upkeep every couple years of a new paint job.
Wood
The maintenance on a wood box or planter varies. If you paint them, you will have the regular painting and touchup every year to maintain the high quality wood underneath the paint. If you stain them, you will have to stain them every so often to maintain that desired look you are going for.
Wrought Iron
Just like any window box, you want to take care of them with the greatest care. The life of wrought iron depends on the use and abuse it receives. Any dings or bumps that are taken by the wrought iron need to be touched up quickly to help prevent future rust. The powder coating is just that, a coating over wrought iron.
Vinyl
The only maintenance needed on vinyl is to wipe them down with a mild non abrasive detergent every so often. If you paint them, you will have the regular painting and touchup every year to maintain the high quality vinyl underneath the paint.
